Contributions

When I joined the project as a Senior Game Designer, the title had shipped already and I was eager to take care of content design. Shortly after, my duties expanded to include several large updates, allowing me to define major gameplay features and multiple QoL improvements. Additionally, I also wrote tooling to optimize our process and innovated on several new enemy behaviors for our player base to interact with. The Characters Ballora and Plushtrap were adapted from their FNAF PC incarnations, with our own twist on how the players would encounter them.

As a Lead Game Designer, I helmed the creation of our Dark Circus Episodic Content, a fully MR experience where the player was immersed in an environment, interacting with various puzzles by using their phone to look around. Additionally, I mentored and guided the actions of an Associate Game Designer that we had hired.

RESULTS

Five Nights at Freddy’s is currently #5 in Adventure and has a 4.4 star rating on iTunes. The Dark Circus Episodic Content was well received and praised by many fans of the franchise.

A core concept in our development is that the AR needs to serve a purpose and can’t be a gimmick, which helps guide our design decisions and approach.
